FSRV Boats ikarus 

2005  First race,  first win after only 10 minutes testing.  No changes needed to the boat at all.   The 2nd race for this boat was the Belgium International where it easily qualified in first place.  In the final  the Ikarus was leading easily until the wrist pin on the engine broke.  The Ikarus is slightly longer and wider than the Lightning but with a very accurately made hull and sharp rails with a very low profile. Changes made to the hull and deck reduce aerodynamic and hydrodynamic drag.  This boat is very fast but totally stable. IKARUS wins 2005 British Championships. An Ikarus powered by geared CMB21 Valvola engine driven by Keith Burgess won the 2005 British FSRV sprint Championships. 2006. First UK 3.5cc race. Ikarus powered by geared CMB21 valvola driven by Mick Szebeko wins its first race. First race France. Ikarus powered by Valvola, driven by Sebastien Videmont wins its first race.

Prototype used IK4 Ikarus epoxy vacuum glass/carbon boat with tank cover and tuned CMB21 Valvola on the Mocom Valvola gearbox and 1924 Mocom propeller.  Other parts used.  BR87 propshaft, WP23 rudder, PT3A fuel tank, CS11 tuned pipe at 185mm length, GA1A waterscoop, PT13 tank mounting,  GA36 radio hatch cover, GA13 servo mounting tray, 2 trim tabs GA17, FC1 float chamber and carbon wing CW1 and side wings SW1. ce
